Amber Davis contributes eight (8) years experience of non-profit work and community activism. Prior to founding the Port St. Joe SaltAir Farmers’ Market, Amber Davis gained experience as the Director of Special Events & Promotion for Tapper & Co. Amber served as a member of the board for the Community Center, Honolulu, Hawaii, for two years where she gained experience in fundraising and non-profit event planning. She chaired the Community Center Festival with estimated attendance of 3,000+ individuals. Currently, Ms. Davis is the Controller for Windolf Construction, Inc.Jodi Perez, Vice President
Chef Jodi Perez brings over 20 years experience in food service with current experience as Restaurateur, Caterer/Owner/Operator of Provisions, Inc. Additionally, Jodi serves on the GALA Board of Directors, and as past President, for the past four (4) years. She is an active member of the community and restaurateur/tourism industry.Sandra Chaffin, Treasurer
Sandra Chafin is the Executive Director for the Gulf County Chamber of Commerce. Before joining the Gulf County Chamber of Commerce in 2001, Sandra taught and retired from Eufaula City School System, Eufaula, Alabama with 29 years of experience. Sandra received her BS in Early Childhood Education from Auburn University, an MS in Early Childhood Education and an MS in Administration from Troy State University Dothan. She is an active member of the community, involved in over seven (7) area agencies, including the Gulf County Disadvantage Transportation Council, Enterprise Zone Agency and the Healthy Start Coalition.Jennifer Taylor, PhD., Farmer Liaison & Advisor
Jennifer Taylor, PhD. serves as Coordinator for the Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University/College of Engineering Sciences, Technology and Agriculture StateWide Small Farm Programs. Taylor has extensive experience in federal research projects and development and implementation of holistic and sustainable small farm programs. She has conducted three (3) USDA research initiatives as project director and one (1) as co-project director. As developer of the Growers’ Markets Model, a participatory, holistic, sustainable development approach, building the capacity of local small farm markets and enriching community development and sustainable living, and author of 26 courses and curricula for the New Agricultural Education Degree Concentration, she is well versed in grower to consumer concepts.Taylor received her B.S. in Agronomy from Florida A&M University, M.S. in Agronomy from Iowa Sate University and her PhD. in vocational and Technical Education from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Her current efforts serve to develop relevant capacity building, education and hands-on training sessions, to assist and equip underserved farm populations, farm workers and their families toward a sustainable development. Over 6,000 people have participated in the FAMU StateWide Small Farm Programs to date.
